| Organize and manage your family research records |
 |
This is an ideal service for a family that has accumulated family data in the form of papers, official documents, photos, letters, family charts, etc., but all of this data is gathering dust in boxes in a closet, in drawers or in the attic.
I will organize your research material on a genealogy database. The database will allow an easy way to access your family information, print genealogy reports and distribute information to family members.
I can provide you with printed genealogy reports and charts. Your genealogy information can be printed and bound into a book or organized in a loose binder or copied to a CD.
| Courthouse and library research in North Texas counties |
 |
Many courthouse and library clerks are very helpful to genealogy researchers, but even the most dedicated are not trained in genealogy research or often, for various reasons, cannot find the records you need to complete your research.
I can assist you with your research by playing genealogy detective. I can often find elusive family members by combining clues found in birth, death and divorce records with information found in newspaper obituaries and deed records. The average court clerk or librarian is not experienced in this type of research.
I can provide research in the following Texas counties that are located within an hour drive of my home: Collin, Dallas, Rockwall, Grayson, Denton, Fannin, Kaufman. I can drive to other counties in Texas and southern Oklahoma, but the drive time will increase the cost of research.
| Internet research |
 |
The internet now provides a wonderful place to find genealogy and historical information.
I can help you find family or historical information from several sources on the internet, such as:
birth death, marriage and burial records; historical events related to your family and
locate your family members in U.S. census records. I can also assist you in finding other researchers, who are researching your family.
Caution: Not all information found on the internet has been confirmed or verified and may contain errors or misleading bits of information. Even so, the internet is still a wonderful place to find genealogy information and research clues.
| Help for the new family researcher |
 |
Family research is not difficult, but can be frustrating for the new researcher. The new family researcher can often learn the techniques in a reasonable time, but help from an experienced researcher can certainly speed up the process.
I can often point a new researcher in the right direction and minimize research time.
| Own your own genealogy web page |
 |
One of my specialties is web page design. I will be happy to create a genealogy web page for you.
You can own your own genealogy web page without spending a fortune. There are numerous places on the internet that provide free web space. Even if you wish to "own" your own spot on the internet the cost is not prohibitive.
Contact me by e-mail and I will be happy to explain the various options available and discuss the costs involved.
