This page is not really about "us" -- it is about me ... Bob.
I have been involved in many activities during my life, but mostly collecting things such as rocks, minerals, fossils, sand, stamps, first day covers, old cameras,
etc. In addition to collecting things I learned about electronics while I served in the military and I became an amateur radio operator.
I became interested in photography when I was in high school, first taking pictures for the school annual, then working in a portrait studio. I have never lost my love of photography.
My interest in photography expanded into digital photography and digital photo restoration and enhancement. Digital photography
has opened up another world to me.
I have been involved in genealogy research since the early 1960s -- more than 40 years! My genealogy research began when I discovered a small box of old letters and a
genealogy chart that my father created in the 1930s. Since my start in the 1960s my "collection" of family members has grown tremendously. I have their names
and where they lived and died, but I have also started learning about their lives, why they moved here and there and how they affected history.
My love of photography fits perfectly with my expanding collection of old family photographs. Many of them had not been treated well during their
life and they needed help. Digital photo restoration was a natural hobby to take up next. With the help of a good scanner and Adobe Photoshop software I have mastered
the techniques of digital photo restoration and enhancement.
I became interested in web page design about 5 years ago and really enjoy the challenge of creating each new web page. My knowledge of digital
photography and Photoshop techniques have been extremely helpful in my web designs.
This is me -- a collection of many interests and talents.
I am looking forward to working with you in any of my areas of interest and expertise. Feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone.
